Nusrat Trust for Special Children, in collaboration with the Sindh Government’s Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD) and Pakistan Down Syndrome Association (PDSA) Karachi, organized a special program to support persons with disabilities.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Additional Secretary DEPD Aitbar Baro, Regional Director Farman Tamri, PDSA’s Abid Lashari, Assistant Commissioner Malir Sameer Khan Baloch, General Secretary APHA Nishad Ahmed, General Secretary Social Department Organization Muhammad Ramzan Memon, Zainul Abidin of NTFSC, Social Activist Dr. Abdullah Murad, and other respected guests.
A large number of persons with disabilities participated in the program. As part of the initiative, essential mobility and assistive equipment was distributed to help improve accessibility, independence, and quality of life.
The distributed items included 50 wheelchairs, 2 electric wheelchairs, 2 motorcycles, standees, walkers, sticks, CP chairs, and other essential equipment.
The program highlights Nusrat Trust’s ongoing commitment to supporting persons with disabilities and promoting a more inclusive society where everyone has access to opportunities, dignity, and independence.
